The Organization operates with the aim to reduce poverty, striving for a world where every person can achieve a sustainable livelihood without any form of discrimination. The organization envisions a society free from illiteracy and disease, ensuring that every individual can fully exercise their fundamental rights. Moreover, the organization is committed to aiding communities affected by disasters, whether they are natural or human-induced, across various sectors. This assistance is provided regardless of factors such as gender, age, ethnicity, caste, religion, or social background. The organization’s reach extends throughout the country, with a special focus on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, including Merged Districts.
To achieve these goals, ISSP actively collaborates with partner communities, the host government, and international organizations. The approach employed is one of integrated development that is participatory, responsive to demand, sensitive to issues of gender and poverty, and fosters cooperation among all stakeholders.
The organization focuses on different community-based projects in emergency, early recovery and long terms development context. The main purpose of the organization is to support the most vulnerable and deprived community in different sector of interventions including WASH, Health, Food Security & Livelihood, Climate Resilience, Shelter & Settlement, Education, and Community Infrastructure Development etc., supplemented by awareness creating through Social Mobilization and Behavior Change Communications Initiatives. These sectors are further detailed below.
The aims and objectives of the organization are to promote the community socially and economically throughout the country and to aware the masses about a decent life. The specific objectives of the organization are;
To foster social development among underprivileged individuals, groups, and communities through diverse sectoral interventions, including access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
To empower women, eliminate gender biases, and ensure the protection and promotion of human rights, particularly for children, young people, the elderly, and marginalized groups.
To address community conflicts across religious, cultural, and ethnic boundaries, encouraging brotherhood, social cohesion, and independence in daily life.
To provide small loans, savings plans, and vocational opportunities for underprivileged individuals to achieve financial security and improve livelihoods.
To promote healthcare development, health awareness, and environmental safety to minimize health hazards.
To support climate change adaptation and mitigation measures while utilizing natural resources sustainably, such as forests, agriculture, and potable water.
To provide education and vocational training, particularly for women, to enhance human resource skills and enable effective utilization for community development.
To work for the welfare of widows, orphans, and vulnerable individuals, including those affected by natural or man-made catastrophes, ensuring their rehabilitation and protection.
